2Gen Pilot at Goodwill of North Georgia + Easter seals of North Georgia

The purpose of the pilot program is for Goodwill of North GA (GNG) and Easter seals of North Georgia (ESNG) to partner to serve adults and children with the long-term goal of ending generational poverty by using the two-generation approach. The pilot program goal is to enroll a total of 44 parents into either a career training program offered by Goodwill or North Georgia or a Child Development Associate (CDA) program offered by ESNG at zero cost to the program participant.

Over the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 school years, the pilot program will offer support to unemployed and underemployed parents and their children at ESNG sites in Dekalb and Fulton counties. In addition, the program will evaluate outcomes of services and interventions provided to 44 parents of children enrolled at an ESNG center who are in need of a living wage job and have set a goal to get a new job at centers in Dekalb and Fulton.
